Explore New Orleans!

Looking for a budget-friendly place to travel? New Orleans (NOLA) is the right place for you! I went there on December 2019 and it left an indescribable feeling in my heart. NOLA is famous for its colorful jazz, captivating old buildings, historical spots, and flavor-full cuisines. One of the best places to just strolling around the lively city with friends or family, capturing moments while exploring some unique stores along the way. Here I recommend some tourism spots especially for students.

1. French Quarter

The most historic neighborhood in New Orleans, beautified with modern touches in several shops along the way. There are many antique shops and souvenirs that must be visited. Filled with typical New Orleans restaurants and elegant pralines shops.

2. Jackson Square

Located in the heart of French Quarter. Historic Jackson Square, originally known in the 18th century as "Place d'Armes," and later renamed in honor of the Battle of New Orleans hero Andrew Jackson. You will find several historical buildings, including St. Louis Cathedral (Louisiana State Museums) which is a captivating palace that stores a variety of antique and cultural items. You can walk around Jackson square to enjoy the beauty of the Mississippi river in front of it.

3. Café Du monde

The most famous café in NOLA which serves the best Beignets in Louisiana. Beignets is a square piece of dough, fried and covered with powdered sugar. They are served in orders of three. Served with Café au lait, delicious coffee from Louisiana. Very soothing to be enjoyed in the middle of the crowd in French Quarter.

4. Louis Armstrong Park

Just a few steps from the French Quarter, you will find a public park that honors the jazz Great Louis Armstrong. The right place to relax while absorbing new exciting information about the history of jazz in NOLA from the unique statues in the park.

5. The National WWII Museum

A military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Here is when you can experience virtually the challenges faced by the nations who fought in World War II. Learning new knowledge and history, taking us inside the story of the war that changed the world. With only $ 32, you can explore 4 buildings that contain world records which cannot be found anywhere else. You will also be presented with an hour 4D film that takes you into the battle and the story of WWII.

6. Bourbon Street

The most interesting place to visit in New Orleans (especially 21+). Presenting the beauty of the busy and packed night with neon lights along the road. You'll feel the experience of getting a drink from a to-go window accompanied by typical jazz songs of NOLA.
